Got Spokane on The Brain: Spokane, WA Travel Guide

Downtown Spokane Washington skyline and the Spokane River

It’s that special time when the holiday spirit goes into hibernation, and we move on to the new year.

Maybe you’ve spent the past few months wrapped up in festive planning and need a little getaway. What better way to kick off 2023 than visiting a place bounteous with nature and fresh air?

Spokane, Washington, is a place full of sights and wonders. Spokane itself means “children of the sun” and is named after the Spokane Tribe who were the first people to habitat its land.

Between Hoop Fest, Lilac Fest, and its annual foot races, Spokane has the wholesome air of a hallmark film that won’t let you think twice about missing those holidays.

Here are some fun Spokane things to do

Fall in love with the Spokane falls

This colossal waterfall goes right through downtown and into Huntington Park.

For the best view head towards the north end of Monroe Street Bridge to check out the lookout area. If you’re feeling adventurous take the Spokane Falls and downtown Skyride for unique scopes.

This waterfall is a sight for sore eyes and a fabulous escapade for a Spokane travel group.
